Well I joined the backstop sawing club today. After 53 hours on the mill I forgot to lower the tall ones while sawing a pecan mantle. My first thought was "what's that noise?"  I got half way through the tip but it's still usable. Has anyone had luck re sharpening blades after such a luck strike 😂😂

Welcome to the club. :D Nothing better then doing that twice in one day. >:(

I had a post about resharpening blades striking metal. I did resharpen one, but have not tried it yet. That one only knocked down a couple teeth. If you sawed more then half way thru a back stop, that blade is finished. I'm sure more then 25% of the teeth are gone. Been there, did that. >:(

Guess I will use this one to strap something down then. Sounds like it's toast

The band is TOAST!  :D (really burnt toast). Welcome to the club, you're now officially a member of the brotherhood of bandmillers.  ;)

You'll find that this happens most often when you've got a bunch of people watching you mill....  ::)
