Hi.
I have been trying to saw some Ash logs that are at least two years old. Having trouble with wavy cuts. Tried cutting fast, slow, lots of lube, no lube.  New blade etc, cuts fresh rock maple fine and pine etc but this Ash is hard. Any pointers or tips or should I just cut it into firewood? thanks for any advice. Usin 10 degree blades WM

POSTON WIDEHEAD

I sawed 4 Ash logs last week that were around 8 months old, so said the customer.
I used a 4 degree blade and sawed 14 inch slabs with no problem.

This is one reason I use 4 degree on everything.
The older I get I wish my body could Re-Gen.

Ditto on the 4 degree blades and ash. I saw a good bit  of ash that has been down 5-6 months or more and with a good sharp 4 degree blade even with only 25 hp they saw well.
