Do you use Maxi-load scales or do you have scales on your trucks? Looking at options for dealing with overweights.

Most trucks up here have an air guage in the cab, for the trucks suspension, and one on the trailer for the trailer suspension. It's not a direct read out, but you can figure out how much weight you have on by the numbers on the guages. Obviously it only works with rigs that have air ride suspension.

We use Vulcan 700 remote with 300 series scales here on our personal trucks so I can watch from the shovel.

Depends where you are and what configurations you use your truck in. Is there a preferred well supported on-board scale in your area?

On-board scales preferably, check with your log trailer designer/ builder/ certifiers. No point in putting on the on-board weigh scales on the  trailer; if the log trailer will not be certified at the end.

relocatable on the ground scales can get stolen or otherwise damaged.
