My sentiments about our situation too.  We had many of the same rules but lately the parks are turning into profit centers.  I think the excuse for the entry fees is because our Government has turned much of the running of the things over to concessionaires.  They are in it for the profit and charge the fees.  The Government is now seeing this as a way of taking care of the parks and even making money since someone else has opened the door.  Funny how Bureaucrats forget that stuff was already bought and paid for once and moneys are still coming in.  They generally give the impression that Government is just another big business for profit and they are on the board of directors.

Yep!  show'em with a ballot if they try it.

I usually try to stay off threads like this but I peeked and now I must reply.
Our government was suppose to be us. By the people, for the people and of the people, not a seperate intetity from us. If the government ownes it, then we own it. That view is quickly changing however to the government being something greater then us. The Federal Government was to be nothing more than a union of soverign states, not a soverign government over the states. That is why they seperated the Distict of Columbia off from the other state's properties. The Federal government was never intended to own any property but that. Now they drive people off their land and then charge people to use their land. I live in an area where many people have been displaced by the government and are none to happy with it. One old fellow told me that he thinks that they treat us like they used to treat the Indians.
I vote no because I don't think the government should own land. The constitution was written to limit government power. So if it is not written in there then they don't have the authority to do it.
