So I found this finished slab table top on Craig's list.  Check out how he tries to sell it.  8)

"Live Edge Slab Coffee Table Top 1.5"T x 22"W x 50"L $425
 A stunning live edge table top. Made from spalted american hickory. Features lots of bee larvae tracks or tunnels and some of the exit holes. The finish is hand rubbed platina shellac with a few coats of Crystalac as a protective barrier.
 You can build your own base, reuse an old one(garage sale), buy one off the shelf (see link below) or you can hire me to build a custom one for you.

Rite legs are quick, easy and attractive.I used them on the LE Cherry benches I made
