Ran out of dry wood this winter and have been back in the bush cutting some green ash that are infected with our new emerald ash borer.
I burn in a Portage and Main BL4044 White ash and green ash burn well green as they seem to not carry  a lot of moisture in them even when 100 % alive.
Does anyone know a resource that gives a good indication of other species that burn well green?
The following url has numbers but to me they don't seem to have the green weight right.
I would say that a block of yellow poplar weighs at least twice as much green as dry yet this table does not reflect that.

I have a HEATMOR outside boiler. I burn ash and lots of green maple. Seems like if I fill the stove I have to start a chainsaw. Mine dont have time to dry. Sure makes the old stove put out lots of steam.
