I have had this log for a year
Yellow birch 8' long 39" on the butt
Made some nice 2" live edge
I'm glad I have the wide head mill.
Used a 4° Kasco from Jerry
One picture of some 16" × 8' pine boards

@Bruno of NH , Looks like there's curl in the sapwood.  If it's 39" at the widest point, how did you mill it?  I thought the wide mills only had close to 36" between the guides?
Anything someone can design, I can sure figure out how to fix!
If I say it\\\\\\\'s going to take so long, multiply that by at least 3!

Bruno of NH

Brad
The widest slab was 34" wide
The lt40 wide is only 34" between the guides
It was tight
The sap wood has like a flame look more than a curl.
I have never seen anything like it.
The xl 150 will cut 35"1/2
A xl 250 would be nice but I would need a small wheel loader to move the logs.

Crossroads

Finished a mobile job in Coeur d'Alene on Saturday, it was only 4.5 hours, but with the heat, I was okay with that. I have the day off work tomorrow to go to my wife's company party. Since it doesn't start until 11:00 am   I should have some time to cut a couple beams and some 2x12's for stair raisers for the apartment.

Diesel is exempt.  However it is a Tier 1.035 x 10 to the minus 3 engine which means that the fuel has to be passed through a column of palladium black in line with the injectors which is good for about 3 hours of run time and the replacement cartridge is $6795 from Woodmizer, three for $18000 with free shipping if you buy them in bulk. They are over $8000 on amazon prime or ebay. But the little boards sell like hotcakes and are not that hard to KD which triples their value.

E-Tex,
My 9 year old daughter got one like that at the 2018 Pig Roast, and she got it up and running right away, without all the foofaraw you're seeing here. She's now the President and CEO of a Custom Live Edge Popsicle stick manufacturing firm (and I'm retiring from my lucrative Automotive job to be her Janitor and Social Coordinator...). Do you want me to IM her email address so she can show you how to run it?

I can promise that the only reason that the fender is still on is because they haven't found a pry bar to remove it after they put the log loader down. Ask me how I know  ::) :D

Red oak blocks 8x8x2' and some 6x6x2' as well.
Also some wedges again for the paving company.
