Brush cutter muffler mod

Hey friends,
Can you muffler mod a brush cutter the same way you muffler mod a chainsaw? ???
I have never thought about it... but in theory it should work..

And what if i have one of those unadjustable carburetors? Muffler mod usually makes engine run lean.

I got one of those low noise handheld blowers that I have been considering prying open the slot in the muffler a bit.

Cut a bit out of my little choked up hedge trimmer/adjusted the carb
She purrrs a little better now
