F90 twisting lines
« on: July 06, 2019, 12:32:40 PM »
Bough a older log truck with a f90 loader on it and it keeps wanting to twist lines where they come up through the center of the loader, above where they should swivel. Replaced swivels that where sticky and routed some different with the same results. And help would be great getting frustrated.

I have my swivels at the base on mine in other words the hoses hang down to the bottom of the loader and this is where my swivels are. Don't know if that will help you out but I would think if the hoses were crossing [ intertwined ] with each other I can see how they twist up. Hope this helped you out or at least a direction to go in.

Same as Autocar, swivels hang and work fine. They make those swivels straight and elbow.

Are you trying to rotate that loader continuously? If there is more than one line coming up to the operator’s controls, they will quickly start to twist around each other. I’m not familiar with that loader, but on a Hood 7000 that I got pretty familiar with, it had a two section pump, and two pressure lines coming up; maybe the returns were combined. Add the four lines for the outriggers, and it was pretty dicey trying to rotate more than 270 degrees. Couldn’t swing over the cab at all. Front mount loader.
