Well I am very pleased to see you have it back and running! I am disappointed in my guesses, except reply#10 wherein I stated the first dealer was giving you the bums rush. He should be ashamed and I hope you are not ever going back to do business with him. Were it me, I would let him know how much you 'value' his skills and customer service. ;D :D :)

I ain't the woodcutter, but I can cut wood 'til the woodcutter gets here. OK, maybe I am the woodcutter now.

Haha. Yeah, it's tempting. I'm not one to burn bridges if I can avoid it - one never knows. However I certainly won't be taking another saw back there again.

The funny thing is, when I dropped off the saw to the first dealer, the guy who I spoke with immediately said that it was probably the ignition coil. Not really sure what happened after the saw disappeared out back but it's apparent that that diagnosis wasn't fully checked out. Must have landed in the hands of the new guy ...

I would make the second dealer,my first dealer. ;)
Some people don't like to listen to some people either. Some people think they know more than some people.

Either that or they had a few 450's on the bench and they just got them mixed up.

I am glad that the problem has been located and solved. However, I would pay a visit to the first dealer and tell him the score. He may thank you.Ken
