LT40 Simple Set Question

I noticed when using simple set the head would go down a little bit past the set point then up to right place , is this normal ?

My accuset 2 does the same thing..coming "up" to the target mark is more accurate Im told, than coming "down" to the mark. Like tuning a guitar string...

The reason for the "bump up" is to ensure the lift chain ABOVE the head is as tight as possible. You need to do the same when you do a manual set as well. Otherwise the head will drop slightly when you engage the clutch to start your cut.
