After cutting them, sawing them, transporting to/fm kiln drying (where they do 300,000 bd'/mo!), stacking in my still-to-be-finished new barn, now I can start to build first slab table top.  Why is everything going so slowly now that I just hit 70!  :(.
All the best, Rob.

Welcome to the old guy club!  Don't worry about slow, just have fun.  I put about 30 walnut slabs in storage a couple months ago....and no new table for me either....yet.

I don't think things really go slower.  I think it's that time passes so much faster.

An old man told me one time that he'd gotten to the point in life where Christmas came twice a year.  I thought he was just a crazy old man, but now that I'm an old man I understand exactly what he was saying.

It's said that you slow down as you get older but I don't agree.

These days it just takes me twice as long to do nothing.  ::)

They just didn't put the quit in that boy!
Anything someone can design, I can sure figure out how to fix!
If I say it\\\\\\\'s going to take so long, multiply that by at least 3!

Thanks for all the "make-me-feel-better" comments... ;D.  Don't know what it is--just born with the gotta git-er-done gene, or something.  Wife's always telling me to slow down....but she's worse than me!  Now if they'd just make more hours in the day......and this June is turning out to be the wettest in a long time, that's not helping!
Brad_bb: funny you should reply to this post--took a valuable tip from you on cutting limbs and sawing braces.  Now have a stack of braces I sawed from bent limbs (mostly walnut) that are air-drying and will be used in my new barn....thank you!  They would otherwise have become cordwood.  Pic is of one of the walnuts I cut--just noticed I cut it on my B-day last month = present to myself  8). (MS 361 with 20" blade; only damage was to a couple of wedges.)

All the best, Rob.

Keep going, you can slow down later.

At 71 I complained to my wife that I can't believe I used to get a lot more done when I was actually working. Her simple answer was that I used to be a lot faster.
