Hi all,
I'm Legacy Woodlot Services, Inc. and I work in the woods of Maine.

A partial list of the services I provide:
-Property mapping (GIS, GPS)
-Putting your land in Tree Growth
-Management plans
-Timber harvest setup (layout, contracting a logger, oversight)
-Cost-share funding (NRCS, USDA) for:
         -Comprehensive management plans
         -Thinning/weeding/pre-commercial thinning
         -Invasive plant and beech control
         -Creating wildlife habitat
-Invasive vine, shrub, and insect control
-Boundary line brush, blaze, and paint

Not everyone knows how they could use a forester's services, logger and landowner alike; not everyone recognizes invasive plants and how badly they need to be controlled; not everyone can shake a stick at a good splotch of boundary paint on their woodlot. I'll be trying to add my two cents wherever the topics pop up on this forum, but wanted to put up my bid here as a community member that cares about and can provide these services.

If you have questions about these services or techniques for providing them, let's start a thread so other folks can benefit from the discussion.

Mainers, interested in contracting a young fella that can get a job done? Give me a call!
