Finally got the time to pull the winch off my 230. It had been leaking hydraulic fluid lately and getting worse. Also found that it was pulling weak so it was time to do something about it. Didn't take long to find the main oil seal was cut, which caused all the clutches to get soaked in hydraulic oil. Got lucky, found a seal locally on a Saturday afternoon. Cleaned everything up with avgas (best degreaser there is) and reassembled. Should be bolted on this afternoon. All this quarantine stuff going on is good for these projects we procrastinate about anyway.

Yes, if nothing else comes out of this pandemic we can get some long overdue things finished. I see you guys still have some snow lingering around too. Lovely shop by the way ;).

Upnorth not to get off topic but what did u use for your shop interior walls and ceiling? I'm going to finally finish mine this year I hope. Good looking skidder to. I can't wait to give mine a good work out. Supposed to be monster oak on my next job!

Hi, I used 1/2" plywood on the interior walls and ceiling. At the time it was only a dollar a sheet more than OSB, and holds up better. I have no regrets and it looks ok, but I would lean towards steel roofing material next time. It looks much nicer and can be washed off with a pressure washer. After you factor in the cost to paint the plywood, steel may not be far off. Amazing how much paint it soaked up. I done all my electric with conduit outside of the walls, which made hanging the wall panelling very quick. And when you think you have enough plug-ins, add a few more. I have 48, with 6 quad receptacles along the work bench. Also put lots of lights in, 3 rows on the ceiling with 3 banks of double T5 lights, plus 2 more sets over the bench, each row on its own switch. No regrets there either.

Hi, thank you. Yes still lots of snow in the bush here too. Had to run a trail to pack a track down before it would pull much. The 2 week forecast pretty well crushed my hopes of an early ice out.... not nearly as nice as the last two weeks.
