Bigger is always better!  I upgraded early on from a 7hp to 18hp twin.  If I had the option to go the extra 2 to make a 20, hp, I wouldn't hesitate!

I was going to say plenty of ppl saw with 7 hp. It is not ideal but it is doable. My plan from the start was the biggest I could get for a good price. and that was the 22 hp predator from harbor freight. I have not regretted that engine yet.

Idk about the bigger harbor freight motors but I put a 13hp ona log splitter last winter.  Ran he crap out of it.  Left it out all summer in the weather with whatever cheap gas I had in it. And it fired right up 3rd pull this fall.  Least to say Im impressed with it for the price.
