Yes, some red spruce planting here. They grow quite well on our ridge top cut overs where it is dryer. If you can keep the darn snowshoe hare out of them. I have also thinned a lot of natural red spruce with clearing saw. Grows thicker than fir where they have taken off the mature spruce overstory.
