Dried Shrimp??
« on: October 14, 2020, 01:34:46 PM »
I added the ?? because I had never heard of such, sheltered I guess.

Anyway yesterday I noticed my Coonass customer occasionally munching on something and he offered me some.  The size is quite deceiving because the largest of these dried shrimp are no more than quarter size.  They are tiny, strong shrimp/fishy smell, and chewy in texture.  He said that was about $50 worth.  :o

They are not uncommon in Asian cooking but I don't think I've seen them used anywhere else. They look tasty though.
