Going to look at a new truck

Had a couple of incidents with my 01 f450 yesterday. I told my brother who was watching for me as I pushed stuff back in place with the tractor forks, I was glad I never bought a new truck cause I’d be doing the same thing if I’d spent 60k.

The 2021 Ram Cummins 3500 has a 37,100 Gooseneck towing capacity and 22,000 conventional towing capacity. Torque is up to 1,075 now on HO

The last group of semis I bought were '07s, sold them when we sold the other business, anyway those had 1000 ft lbs of torque.   Ironically the price was about the same as these new pickups.

Yeah because theyre designed for the hotshot trucking industry thats helping to wreck rates on the regular trucking industry.  
Either way, truck prices, youtube and antifa are all the evidence i need to make a solid case that people are idiots.

I found my 3/4 ton Chevy was a little light for pulling my cow trailer, and flatbed trailer, and my spray rig, so started looking for a 1 ton dually, and wound up buying a F450 4x4, V10  with 6 speed manual.  It is an 05 model with 191 K.  Price was right, and bought it on an online auction, from NE Colorado.  The truck has NO RUST, first thing after getting it home blew the dirt out of the rockers and cab corners, had to use water to get it clean, but no rust inside there.  Where I picked up the truck, looked like they run about 1 cow to 80 acres, really dry country. Cool thing is, even the door hinges are tight. Ford must put a lot more  effort into their heavier trucks.

I have come close many times.  Getting DOT and MC are easy.  Putting yourself in the drug consortium and doing the audits and ifta and quarterlies and all that is irritating but doable.  Paying $18 grand for the first year of insurance premiums just ends the thought every single time i call.  The numbers on part time trucking make it impossible, and full time trucking is a crummy life.  


Plus my 2ton is a DOT magnet.  Hotshots get a lot more attention that class 8 trucks these days because there are so many more incognito haulers to throw the entire book at.  Number one reason to run a pete or kw is the scales just roll you by.  I never got a single inspection in a 379 breakin all the rules.   Harrassed a lot in a 4door international being pretty legit. 



Truckin just isnt part of God's plan for me, thankfully.

A friend of mine used to run several trucks and there was always some drama from him or the drivers. Guys stopping at a casino and then not getting the load there. To him not advancing enough money and the driver leaving the truck along the highway in some other state 😂😂.

What the H? Modern tires, chain drive, sure not a bulldog. Like the sapling chain binder, DOT certified. That virgin hardwood looks like ash but is cut walnut style up top . A field tree for sure. A lot of questions in this pic.
