Plasma Cutter help
« on: December 31, 2020, 03:23:27 PM »
Recently bought a cheap plasma cutter.  Very happy with it, but as I need to get more consumables soon, I was wondering about upgrading the torch head.

This is a link to the machine I bought, but on their non-amazon website, they don't have any other torch heads.

PrimeWeld 50A Air Inverter Plasma Cutter, Portable Plasma Cutting Machine, Premium and Rugged Plasma Cutter Kit, Automatic Dual Voltage 110V/220V AC with Plasma Torch, 1/2" Clean Cut, CUT50D: Amazon.com: Industrial & Scientific

I'm trying to wade through the morass of compatible parts, but it's hard to find out what a good torch head is, much less whether it's compatible with my machine.

Any help?  Thanks!

Go register at CNCzone.com and find the homemade machines section.  That is where the wizards of DIY plasma tables hang out and they will know all about different power supplies, hand torches, machine torches, torch height controllers etc etc.
