My wife was scheduled to give earlier today and also volunteered to help.  she got a meal and helped, but her Hg was to low to donate.  She just had a knee scope and is planning another on the other side, about sept 3.  I told her she needs a break, or they may not do her other scope.  I got a look, but I survived! ffcheesy ffcheesy ffcheesy

On Tuesday the 10th, I tried to donate.
The new machine that you use to test your iron level said mine was too low, and I couldn't donate.
Thursday and Friday I had salads for lunch.
Saturday, I went to a different donation site and passed the iron level and donated easily.

Last month, I tried to donate. They/she couldn't get a flow from my right arm. So, they tried my left arm. Got what they called a "flash" small short flow. Then nothing. Sent me home.

Today, I had a great tech and she got a real good flow from my right arm and I was out of there in no time.

It was a good day donating today.

Thanks for doing this, Rita tries to go each month. She sometimes get sent home for high pressure ( just over their limit ), says she does it for me. I have a great wife and hope I never need blood.

 Thank you again all.

My donation last week went well enough. They had to fiddle with the needle some to keep it flowing. I tried to tell the guy he was sticking too shallow. Got it done though and have already scheduled my next visit.
