Hi everyone,
I have a small Stihl farmboss with an issue. If I pull the cord slightly it keeps turning over on its own for approximately 2 revolutions.  I have taken the pull cord off and this does not occur when it is turned manually and only when pulled with the cord.   Any ideas?

It's sounding like relatively low compression to me. Does this have that system to make the starting easier, I forget what it's called. If that's the case, well, I don't know. But I still think low compression if you can turn it over without the starter cover and without the decomp pushed in. Tell us more about it.
Trying harder everyday.

It's called a compression release button. Look for a small round plastic button and play with that pushing it in or pulling it out. It is supposed to make it easier to crank over and when it fires the compression release button should close by itself. If you get it running, shut it down and try it again it should not pull so easily unless you push that release button. There may not be a problem at all. Some big truck engines have compression release features and they can be very helpful in getting a cold motor to crank over.

A very simple method called a "drop  test ".Grab the starter cord and drop the saw .It should hit compression maybe once or twice until it holds .If it free wheels you've got some problems .
