In keeping with my commitment to use Re-claimed Kitchen-ware, I sometimes have to get creative. This particular tail came from a Bar Strainer ( @WV Sawmiller This came from your bar....). Then I stretch it out to depict the tail.

Dad drat it! I knew I used to have one of those but could not find it the last couple of times I looked for it. Now I know why.

It is probably being put to better use than when I had it. Very nice work. Do these ideas come to you naturally or does it require pharmaceutical or chemical assistance of some sort?

Besides the fact that I quit drinking a while back, there are certain activities that I'm licensed for that preclude me testing positive for any of those unprescribed pharmaceutical or chemical elements (IYKYK). So any "weirdness" you may discern in my Art is all me. In this case, I was sent pics of the tell-tale, and glommed images of Cats off the Internet. The execution is solely me.
I can send the missing Bar strainer back, but without the spring- it won't strain. It just looks like a little Banjo (Hey! I have an idea.....).

@aigheadish I think those are maybe Relish Trays. These are very popular, but Inventory is limited by the number of those trays I can find in secondhand stores. This one is already gone, and I only have one more tray left.

@SwampDonkey Paddleboards are very popular here in the heart of Northern Michigan Tourist Land. Hence the Paddle, which I fashion from Sundae spoons.

  Okay, I gotta confess - this is the craziest hobby/artwork I have ever seen. The only people crazier than the people who make something like this are the ones who buy and display them.

    Oh wait - I just remembered I got one for my wife for Christmas and she loves it. Maybe they aren't that crazy after all. Belay my last.

They are very special and unique gifts, not unlike the artist.  I have given prob. half a dozen.  very personal.

Had to look up 'paddle board', never seen nor heard of them here. But the first site that came up with them was COSTCO.  $400 price range.

They're definitely a trendy way to go on the water. Some folks even take their little dogs with them. I made one with a dog in front, but the scale was off, and it looks like a little kid with a dire wolf. We live and we learn (then, if the learning didn't kill us- we live some more...).
