WOW!

Are all the nails included? or do you have to pay extra?

Rockn H

:D :D :D Neighbor I thought we had lost you for a minute there.  I had to do some rough math, and from their measurements it looks like about 3400 bf and for $43,000 it would be right at $12.50 /bf.  Now why aint nobody bid on them trees yet? :D :D :D   Course scary thing is somebody is just liable to. :o :o :o

asy

WOWWEE!!

I'm EXCITED!!!

I want one!

I wonder if they'll ship it to Aussieland???

hehe

Seriously, though, I wonder whether you could get into trouble with statements like:

"HIS TREE IS IN GREAT DEMAND AND WILL PAY FOR ITSELF OVER AND OVER AGAIN"

"Its value is tremendous and your investment capital will turn many times over!"

I mean, um, What ever happened to false advertising laws???

Does this mean if I buy the tree and it DOESN'T return my 'investment capital' many many times over, will they compensate me??

asy :D

I bet the $3000 guy started his price at what a tree removal service said it would cost to get rid of the tree.  :D

Daren

I love the pic with the tire swing, I bet an "investor" would get rich off the scrap metal alone. If this guy gets one bid he is as clever as the 15yr old boy who was auctioning off his virginity I heard them talking about on the radio last year.
Experience is something you don't get until just after you need it.

Good grief. More of these dreamers with their walnuts. They sure have high expectations of their values. I wonder which on of the neighbors talked them into selling it on ebay. And what coffee shop counter were they discussing it at. ;D

We may all laugh at these things, but what we are seeing is an example of free marketing by someone who wants to get max dollars for their trees.

On a serious side, are we doing all we can to market our wood or services at top dollar? Should we not be more creative in our sales endeavors?

I hope he really likes those trees, because they arent going anywhere anytime soon.  :D :D

I wonder if you can place a negative bid on e-bay?  You know, you pay me X and I will remove your ugly, metal infested, nut dropping tree from the premises. :)

Daren,
Sure wish I would have thought of that  :D

Glad y'all got as many giggles as I did  ;D

I had to go look as a fella called me yesterday wanting to sell me a yard Walnut. After I nicely explained that there was no market for it but that I might haul it for free if its good, he told me "no thanks, I'll sell it on eBay or treetrader(?)".

I imagine I'll be getting a call back in a week or two  ;)

I looked at the first one for $35,000 and I am not sure that even looks like a walnut. Bark looks to light for me. Just my thoughts.

The one with the tire swing looks real bumpy at the butt. I got walnut trees all sawed i'll take half the 3000. for ;). Hmmm I gotta go back and look at this again maybe i'm selling to cheap ::)

Ron Wenrich

So why aren't you guys rushing over to the 400 tree walnut plantation?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=48316&item=8184464993&rd=1

They'll be producing veneer in just another 12-15 years.  That would make them the ripe old age of 20-25 years and have a dbh of 22" with a per tree value of $7000.

At  $0.99, the price seems to be about right.

Ron they must have sold out and closed  ;D. That link don't work. Darn a day late again and a doller short :D

Jeff

I'm afraid the link got yooperized. It will work later I promise.
I can change my profile okay. No errors. If you can,t remove all the extra info in other fields and try.

Still there,

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=48316&item=8184464993&rd=1

They actually believe the price of their 7-9 year old walnut to be $1000/tree.

I don't know where these guys get their values.  My guess is that they've been sold a bogus bill of goods.

I'm only bidding on the opportunity to talk to him about his trees, not actually buy thme or anyhting, just talk to him about them!!!  That seems odd.  Maybe I'll place an ad so somebody could have the opportunity to come to my house and fix it up while they foot the bill.  Should sell like hot cakes!!!!  What makes these people think that what they have is worth sooooo much?
