p.s.  These are going away.  I am not going to try to saw these on my manual mill. ;)

I think the trailer could handle a couple more, throw a few more on just to see. REID

Good looking logs. 8) It would take me 4 hours to saw the closest log. :P Three and one half hours looking for the bad face and thirty minutes to saw it up after giving up on finding a bad face. ::)

Pigman the side away has 3 or 4  six inch knots.  That  was about all my tractor wanted with nothing on the 3 point hitch. :D :D

A "whack" is a standard unit of measurement, between a "smidgen" and a "whole mess of" but not quite as big as a "pile"

WHACK RULES
I can change my profile okay. No errors. If you can,t remove all the extra info in other fields and try.

I remember my dad whacking me with pine >:( I was kinda wondering about the trailer too.

Captain,  way too many hills between here and South Randolph.  It is only about 5 miles to the log yard.  That is far enough to pull that with a K 2500. :D

Hey, Wiam, what yahd did you take them to?  Nice logs.  We've got a few like that at our mill waiting to be sawn.  Got a bunch of other stuff to saw out first.
I went up this afternoon and helped my brother and his wife saw out some spruce that will be for the interior walls of their daughter and son-in-law's log house.
You and I aren't that far apart.  Maybe 50 miles or less.  How far are you from the bridge to North Monroe?

Are you worried about blue stain in your pine logs, waiting to be sawed?

I have sawn logs that big on my manual Lumbermate 2000. Thst was before I had the 60" LogRite cant hook. Definately need armstrong power to turn those.

They will be sawed out before another week goes by.  Maybe even this weekend.

It's about 29 miles from my house to the old Littleton Hospital.  So maybe you're a little more than 50 miles from here.

here is one of the loads I took to the logyard today.

The white stick is a 4' fiberglass fence post. 14' long  I had to help the tractor with my excavator to pick it up.

Got any pics of your excavator, how big is it, what will it lift and stuff like that, we are thinking of getting one to put logs on the mill, drag them up banks, make tracks on our bit of dirt, clean the drains, and generally play but dont know what size to get.  We have been thinking of between 6 and 14 tonne.

Thanks

Nice trailer.

Still waiting for that one down by the pond.....
See if you can figure out the timer on the camera so we can see you in that new FF hat.  Isn't one of those kids qualified?

Ernie,  It is a Bobcat 231.  It weighs about 7800 lbs.  It will pick up logs but not very big.  I built a thumb for it which works pretty well for picking logs.  Here is a pic with my splitter on it.

Will

wiam

Andy,  yes it came from behind the house.  Cannot cut "that one" it is on Jean's.
