When PatD celebrated her 18th Birthday I was not there.  If I had been there I would have had to buy her a Birthday Present and I had no money.  My strategy was to wait until afterwards to ask her out and it worked.

This is the 60th year anniversary since then so today we took a 63 mile trip to enjoy lunch together.

She had Shrimp & Crawfish Scampi.

I had Grilled Catfish Filet' with Crawfish sauce and Fried Rice.

And we both enjoyed a Bread Pudding.

Congratulations, that is a record to be proud of.
Did the doctor say you could eat all that rich fare?  ;D :D

Thinking back, you have me by 15 years, that was my senior year. Although... she had caught my eye in the 3rd grade. I had not yet caught hers. Patience  :D

I absolutely have driven those 63 miles for pastys too.  I reckon the best that we have ever gotten were in Mackinaw City.  She preferred the chicken and I preferred the beef, both with gravy.

Congratulations to both of you.  I hope that my wife will tolerate me for that long.  I enjoyed meeting both of you at Jake's last year.  I feel like I have known y'all for years.

Makes me want an oyster Po Boy sandwich.

Congrats to Miz Pat. Many happy returns. Hopefully for her next birthday you will not have lost any more body parts.

Yup, we had to go South if the Border to find those dishes.

Howard, I'm thinking that a Softshell Crab Sandwich would be even better.

I have never tried a softshell crab sandwich but I have always heard they are good. I plan to have lunch outside Mobile AL one day next month and I may just order me me one then. digin1
