Rainbow bark

I saw these trees in Maui. The bark is more colorful than the pictures indicate.

I couldn't help but wonder what the inside looks like?

(For the record, I am aware that Magicman does not like Sweet Gum, but this appears to be a different animal!)

Neat. Looks more like a type of cypress we have growing here.

I saw trees out in Arizona that looked like that years back. I believe they were sycamore.

It's an Aussie "gum", meaning eucalyptus. Unfortunately the wood is rather plain, compared to the rainbow bark. :(

I really like watching this YouTube channel, btw. It's relaxing for me watching those slabs just fall away. And the anticipation of what the next one might look like is fun
