Picked up another 394XP today. All there and runs strong. Needs a bath, anti vibe spring and a brake band and some rubber snubbers. Decomp plugged.

Seems all original.

Yes, cool old saws. Haven't been prowling as much for them lately, been quite busy with other things. Have a line on a 394 that the guy says was run over when fairly new so am curious to see what that brings. Hopefully some good parts.

I have been sucking up 154 parts for a rainy day or winter project. Picked up three new bars for $20.00 total. One Jonsered and two Total branded. Best of luck with your 394 endeavors.

154 is a nice saw. Got a 154SG from a guy last year. Has low compression and piston scoring looking through exhaust. It fires up but is sucking air from somewhere it's not supposed to so it sits on the shelf til time permits

I'll think on that. Was eying this one for a while. I fixed the anti vibes for him and it ran great. 6 months later he had it scored and decided to sell it to me😂

Back to the 394, they pop up every once in awhile around me, but always in the $800.00 to $1000.00 U.S. and that's too steep for me. About half that and I'll look at it.

They do pull a decent price for sure. I'm making a deal on another one at around $600 Canadian. Looks in excellent shape from what dialoque and photos have been exchanged. Will post the outcome when it happens.
