OK, I am 100% portable so I have different tailgunners on each job.  Some are the customer and some are neighbors, their children, grands, school kids, and whatever.

I dislike being called "Mr. Davis" because that is who my Dad was.  Older customers call me by my first name and often put Mr. in front of it, but what about the youngsters?  I introduce myself to them as "Pop" which is who I am with my grands.  They seem comfortable with it and easily call me Pop, while still showing respect for my age.

So what do your younger tailgunners call you?

My tailgunners are usually my customer or their kids or grandkids. The customers either call me by my first name or Mr. Green. Usually the younger ones call me Mr. Green although some some will call me by my first name. I don't care one way or another.

My wife was a the local HS Band director and they always called her Mrs. Green on Mama G for the ones who were more special. Most of them called me Howard, Mr. Green or Mr. G.

When I was a scout leader the boys called me Mr Southwick or Mr S. A neighbor I have a lot of interactions with has taught his kids to be respectful and they call me Mr Southwick.
To my grandkids I am Grampa.

Well, when I'm milling a bunch of long, oak 2X 12's what my tailgunners call me would be a violation of FF rules.....   ;D

You do not specify any length in your post, however I can assure you if they are off the Peterson and 65' long I would also be using choice words if I had to move them.

Usually Ted, Mr Ted or Mr Summey.

Sometimes other things if the lumber or slabs were heavy.  I've been called tough as a lighter knot or was that hardheaded as one?

I try not to give them any time to talk and make sure they are worn out by the end of the day.
Mind you, the odd time when I make them restack and sticker a few rows as it was not done properly I bet the names are ones I don't want to hear.

My tail gunners are mechanical contraptions that don't talk to me at all. They are incredibly strong and work all day without complaining. They are also incredibly stupid cause I gotta tell them what to do with everything the LT70 drags off onto the conveyor 🤣🤣🤣
