Hey I'm looking for a sample forest management contract, specifically a contract between a landowner and a forester covering the details of that relationship.  Just looking for a place to get started, not a ready-to-use contract.  I've googled and not found anything helpful so far.  Thanks.

Be specific on the obligations of both sides.  His job is to provide you the information/job you specify.  There should be a time element and, of course, payment procedure, hourly, daily, percentage, etc.  An arbitration clause may be needed.  If you have done diligence in selecting a forester, you already know what you need in the contract.

Every job is different, even if nothing more than a different client.

Good conversation with save a lot problems.

Thanks Ron,  This is good to keep on hand.  Even for those of us who may have young trees now but may have a need in the future.

I printed a copy and filed it for my daughters use.

It's extremely easy to make things complicated, but very difficult to keep things simple.

Most important.  Most buyer contracts down here are a simple buyer guarantees buying and seller guarantees selling, not much else.
