Beautiful night here with stars and moon out, can see around like daylight. Moon shining from the NW now into my bedroom window. I thought it was the sun at 5:15 am.  ffcheesy

15° this morning, but it's 77° in here and RH is 36%.  ffsmiley

Quiet bunch around here last night, must have been an empty dance hall (forum).  ;)

Yesterday's low was 14 with a high of 32 and it was clear, but with enough breeze to make you chose a god jacket and hat. So far today, the low is 11° and the predicted high is 30° with clear skies again. Figures, I picked the cold day of the winter thus far for my open shop/studio weekend. :wink_2: I hope folks come on out anyway. AT least it's clear and at least I have firewood to get through the weekend in good shape.

14 degrees this morning and the ground is freezing up nicely. Today is the last day of shotgun season for deer so I think I'll stay out of the woods. I'll run the wood splitter today and hopefully get out to the woods tomorrow.
The sun is out and almost no wind. Should be a nice day.

I hope that things work out good for you, Tom.
I have 15 now and a high of 46.
Dog got me up last night so she could bark at the deer.
Yes, I noticed the moon at that time too.  :wacky:
Looks like full sun today!!!

Snow is coming down pretty heavy on the traffic camera about 10 miles west and lower elevation than my cabin. Traffic is slow but seems too fast for chains. I wouldn't be driving in it even with chains! So, no doubt now, I'm done working on my cabin for the season.😬

Only got to 24° here and dropping down near 0°-5°F tonight.

Power was scheduled to be down for about 4 hrs, was only out 2-1/2 though. Anyway, right in the middle of dinner making, so the canned beans, boiled water for tea and warm corn bread was provided by the shop wood stove.  ffcool  I had every window to the ceiling though, was 89° and 19% RH in there, yes with windows up.  Grandmother said, if you're going to be cooking anything get out the maple and beech. I fed the rock maple to it, only 3 or 4 sticks actually, and we were in business.  I set the grub and water up on the spot that makes a hood for the blower fan on top of the stove, not on the hottest part of the stove. Kind of like a medium simmer. ffcheesy

Saw two grouse sitting in the sun on the ground out of the wind and one mole along the road by the woodlot. Seen a deer trail, most were old tracks, but one recent one, and there were lots of droppings on the trail. Never seen any new signs of bears, but they was around in the last snow storm before that big rain. Lots of water in the woods now where it should be and freezing solid the last 2 days. A moose has been around since a day ago, new droppings on the trail where I cut wood this fall.

It appears to be 14° now and hasn't gotten any colder since 1:00 am when I threw some wood in the stove. Looks like some places are around 10° near here. 82° and 31% RH in here.

Like you say the yard is all lit up with moon and stars out bright, no wind either. It came up from the ENE, never seen it rise that far north.

65° and 35% RH in the shop this morning, warming up now though.

Moon and stars here all night, 16° outside, 78° and 35 % RH in here. Was 65° and 33% RH in the shop earlier this morning. Had some nice coals from a couple sticks of maple I put in around 2:00 pm yesterday. Saves paper. :wink_2:  Probably about 85° by now.  ffcheesy

Yeah, suppose to hit mid 30's today and rain tomorrow with a high of 45°.  The ground is sparkling this morning with white frost, like it has now for 3 days.

I did get to 47° here with a little rain, then cleared out after dinner. But I don't think it is clear now, hard to see the stars, see one here and there. Windy out, been SW.

Looks like a light mix of rain and snow coming up here Thursday morning, doesn't look like much or for very long.

36°, clear and no wind. The moon is straight over the top of the house, so will be setting later this morning than it has been.

I got'er a little warm in here though. Never had a fire since 5:00 am yesterday morning, built one around 3:00 am as I was up to the bathroom, felt a little cool at 68°.  Now it is window open warm. :D
