less than a week and i fly to Detroit! getting exited.  Doing some last minute works and orders, not easy to let the businesses, finca and wife unattended for 10 days.  ffcheesy
At least it's slow right now.

Eager to meet all of you guys.

For rolls, We always anticipate 25%  more than rsvp, because rsvp is not a requirement to attend. If you think you can make it at the last minute, come on along.  We have neighbors and friends and family that probably will attend as well, but we dont really tell but a handfull. Rolls are always a tough guess. Some people eat them, others dont, some eat many.

Sorry Doc, I wasn't rubbing it in, just saying I'll miss the two of you. Pat was hoping to see Georgia again too. Maybe you just shouldn't read this thread, but now you know how I felt reading all the "PrOject" posts a few months back knowing I couldn't be there. It sucks, but some thing take precedence, and this is one of them for you. Happy wife, happy life.

Of course she would have loved it, but: as she is latin (the us gov doesn't want more Latins come to the country and stay) it's not that easy for them to go visit the US, even for Holidays. need to get a appointment in the US embassy in the capitol (250km away) to apply for a visa, there is a 6 months waiting list right now, then you need to bring every personal information that exists, bank statements also. Pay 200$ for the appointment and there is no guaranty you obtain it.
not impossible to do but needs time.
Only 40 countries don't need visa for the US and can fill out an ESTA form and get approved within the hours, i did that because i'm Swiss.

and as this is mostly a lumber oriented trip for me, i'm ok to do it solo, and she is too. ether way somebody has to stay and watch over the businesses and make money meanwhile the other is having fun  ffcheesy ffcheesy

Yup, and today I got my last 'thing' out of the way before the pig roast (A show which I could have skipped and saved myself some money as well as had a free day). Now after I clean up form that in the morning I an focus on getting the truck ready for the drive, pick my route and my layover town, then pack and think of other things. :wink_2:

Goes without saving (but I'll put her on my punch list anyway). :wink_2:

BTW, I have been watching the Harrison forecast and noticed that there looks to be a pretty good chance of rain on Thursday when we arrive. I know you have a bunch of stuff to do, but could you see if you can do something about that? ffcheesy

We don't even check the weather forecast here in the tropics, you just take the day as it comes. Microclimates, where 10miles away can be a totally different weather.
