Trying to get an idea of what my sawmill might be worth

I have a 2012 TK 2000 with the 37hp Kohler on it it has low hours that has never been used commercially. The hour meter stopped displaying some time ago. I'm guessing hours are around 200. I believe this to be a pretty accurate estimate, I bought my mower at the same time and it has 400 hours on it. I haven't used the sawmill even close to as much as the mower.  I couldn't think of a better place to get opinions on it's worth than here.
Advice appreciated.

I'll give you a dollar, the wife said I could.  ffsmiley

There are a couple on line auction sites you might see a similar mill sell on, Big iron and the like.  Without naming the website there is a sawmill trading site that is easy to search.  Calling Timberking might also give you and idea as well.
There are folks on here that will probably have more useful information so hopefully they will come along soon.

List the sawmill in the For Sale section with pics, and put a price on what you would accept (be happy with). You likely will get offers if your price is high, or you may sell it quickly if the price you ask is too low.
Best way, IMO, as "what's it worth" question is hard for others to answer. What's it worth to Ronnie?

Good point! I will get some pictures and list it in the for sale section. Thank you!

Hello Ronnie.  I try to get to know the few Ks logger sawyers and missed you somehow.  sorry to hear you are getting out.  I know the TK mid model has over doubled in price.  I have nearly the same model and you may get more than you paid for it if the market holds.  Lots of guys want one but not all the wives around here are accustomed to having one in the family.   :wacky:   There was a "run" on mills during the pandemic to the point that wait times were estimated in years.  So, the other side of the coin is that there may be a glut of barely used mills.  I am not sure that Ks has a market that follows the rules for an area such as states with tons of trees and sawmills.  I am in Hutchinson.  I had a lead for you, but that gent wound up with cancer and is not doing well.  Good luck.

The owner Will of TimberKing is a member.  TK has occasionally sold mill for folks but of course they will ask for a commission.  They are a sponsor as well.

@Will_Johnson @farmfromkansas @busenitzcww @Osage are some Ks contacts.  You are close to MO it appears and that may be a better market, or it may already be saturated.  is the mill under cover?  I assume it is a trailered model.  @firefighter ontheside

I have seen several mills for sale locally recently and prices seem to be more reasonable than a year or two ago.  I would consider the price of a new TK and price accordingly based on what the depreciation of yours is.

If he is getting all of the contacts to make a sale on the Forum, the Forum should be getting a sale commission just like Timberking would (and should). There should be a For Sale ad made with the posting rules agreed to at this point.

I agree Brabender.  We may have strayed, but I think so far, he is asking how to price it.  thanks.

edit, I could have just changed it, but it was too funny.  ffsmiley Barbender.

I dont mind at all paying the commision. I was just looking for some pricing input. I have it for sale now in the for sale section. Thanks for the input Doc and spreading the word. Go check it out, it's a nice mill. @Will_Johnson @farmfromkansas @busenitzcww @Osage are some Ks contacts.
