LT15/LT15WIDE old style clamp modification

I still like to use the old style clamp on my LT15WIDE sawmill along with the new style clamp. After a while these clamps wear around the bolt and hole and don't clamp as tightly as when new. I found that if you drill out the 3/8" bolt hole to 7/16" and put in a 7/16" bolt, it kicks the clamp body away from the board or cant and gives a much better clamp. See what I have circled in green.

Your old clamps look different from my old clamps.

I have put 2 of the new screw type clamps on my mill and will ocasionally use an old clamp when the new ones aren't in a good spot.
I leave the nut off the bolt so i can easily move it to a different bunk. I have learned that it needs to be well lubricated for the cam to work OK.

Yes, your clamps go way back but I remember them. They were on my first LT15 and you are right, they needed lubrication. And I do leave the nut off of the bolt so it is easily removed if necessary.
