This is where I usually stop and eat my sandwich and enjoy the view. Today it was dodging thunderstorms and heavy rain.  :wacky: Hey I got everything delivered, and didn't get drenched, so it was a good day.

56° here this morning. Rain is expected. Got to nearly 70° yesterday when we had periods of sun in the afternoon. We had showers after 11:00 am that came and went all afternoon, some heavy downpours. I did get some garden in yesterday morning, early: beats, dill, carrots, giant sunflowers, rosemary and basil plants, and put in one small row of yellow string beans. If it doesn't turn cold and real wet, the beans may do well. Otherwise, cold and wet will rot them as soon as they germinate. You take your chances putting them in before June 10th.  ffcheesy I put down some textile and secured it with rocks to plant peppers and tomatoes in in June. I have tomatoes to pot over this weekend.   :wink_2:

Bluebirds were doing some heavy carrying on yesterday. ;)

SD, I got yer rain right here! ffcheesy
We've had over an inch since 1am and it's settled in pretty good, more coming before it moves NE. So today is a loss. 60° at 5:30am and very damp. :wink_2:

Yeah I saw it on the radar over your area, but can never tell what's reaching the ground. We are now at 1.6" and it's coming down goodly. SO much for my nearly drained and dried out swamp. I checked it yesterday and though I might be able to access it with my Mule again, but after this, it will be another several weeks at best.

Suprise, surprise, surprise it's raining on a weekend.
This is the 12th weekend in a row that it has rained. We did have a dry Saturday a few weeks back.
Looks like an inch of the wet stuff. But it's supposed to stop at noon, then showers.
heat is on!!! and looks like it might be on tomorrow too with a temp that might reach 60.
Will have to wait until Tuesday to think it's summer out there.

2/10" rain here but not much since earlier. Indicating more rain, but seeing more fog and mist than rain.

The rain has picked up here since the last report. That'll soak the seeds good.

Stopped raining around noon, we got home at 2 and I went out to finish working on the bushog. Got it done and went mowing. We use the bushog to mow the fields like a mower. The fields are wet. I was going down hill and I think I was spinning in the mud.  ffcheesy

Still raining here, close to 3" now. Don't you boys worry, we'll see if we can't help you out and send a bit more your way. :wink_2:

I think you sent some because it's been showering or raining over night.  :veryangry:

Neighbor's corn field finally came up Friday, was about 2 weeks germinating. I thought all the cold rain had rotted it. Not to worry, now I see the field is green with weeds to.

We had a second system that crawled up the coast and brought another 1/4" rain over night. Still drizzly out. Has not rained as hard as the first system.
50° now, 60° predicted for the high.

1.8 inches of rain in the last 24 hours. Standing water in the garden again! We are in a pattern of a big rain every week with  showers in between. June first and most of my garden is not planted yet!

Not much in my garden either.
But that will change today.
I'm on time for this area.
Won't be nothing early, but I'm not selling nothing.
One year we was just getting cukes when most had gone by.
The heat is on at 48° and a high of 60. Might see a shower before the sun comes out at 10 today. Some sun all day.

Looked like it was going to clear here earlier, lightened up and peek of sun. Now it's raining.

I won't be planting anything else in the garden for 2 weeks.

Long range temps for June is 60's and 70's mostly, with the odd low 80's day. Also looks like lots of water all month. June is rarely a dry month up here. I remember going fishing with grandfather in remote areas of the province in June. It would be cold and wet without fail, cloudy with peeks of sun would be a good day. It resulted in a lot of driving and exploring and less fishing. That was a long time ago before climate became a topic of doom sayers. ffcheesy

We had rain, pretty much all week last week but it did not amount to much in the rain gauge. Then Friday night my daughter had a campout in the backyard and they got lucky as it stopped raining around 4pm. It's been pretty nice since and this week we're supposed to see low 80s today, high 80s tomorrow and Wednesday, then big rain Thursday. Golf will likely be canceled. My garden appears ready for warm weather.

Cloudy here all day, a couple showers to. Another day below 60°, and no black flies, but a few mosquitoes though, but not bad. Going to be like summer here for a few days in the low 80's, and rain Thursday  afternoon with 70's and Saturday is rain and 60's.  ffcheesy ffcheesy Looks like 60's and 70's next week. I don't need it any warmer than that this early.
