@leeroyjd i figured there was something wrong with how much swing it's got to it! Now I know what to look at/for, it wasn't broke so I didn't know what needed fixing lol thank you!

@barbender they do suck! lol I can't even argue otherwise! At least now I can apologize to the truck driver in advance and tell him it will be better the next time!

I'll try out those tips when I get unstuck... currently hung up between two stumps in the mud lmao that's todays project 🤦♂️ you won't find a harder critic on myself than myself lol I've been cursing all night at my stupidity  ffcheesy I should a known better, but I tried it anyways!Dummy!.... You aren't kidding about aspen/poplar whatever it's called, I had some on the bunk and now they're underneath the machine as they slid right off in my current predicament ffwave  And yes I got it all on video, so you'll be able to laugh at/with me ffcool

Hindsight, I should really have used all the dead stuff to make a makeshift crane mat to crawl around on

@Plankton Im starting my AZ (CDL) license training next week, there's a shortage of drivers and the ministry of labour covers the funding if you can prove there's a demand for the job and you're laid off, so I'll have all 3 under my belt in the distant future! Any harvesters tips and tricks I am all ears!

@thecfarm yes lots of softwood, have some good sections of hardwood, but it all desperately needs attention, last time it was touched was the 80s, some days I'm taking out more dead trees than live trees. The goats love it! Oddly enough, they're eating all the bark first right now before the needles. I'm not entirely sure the reasoning! Pollen perhaps? It's the opposite in winter. They love leaves, had a maple blow over last fall in their pasture, it was picked clean in a couple hours.

Ray,
I used to have a Boss that would say this about "Iffy" hay: "It will look a lot greener against a snow bank....."

Fresh cut aspen tops are even slippery with the bark on. I always wear chaulk boots in that stuff so my feet will stay under me.  ffcheesy

Today the tree composition changed from hardwood, to fir-aspen, to alders on a 40 m wide strip 100 m along. I cut a whack of beaked hazel on the front, but that ran out when the hardwood ended. This place is full of areas of trash shrubs. Some places they musta cut a lot of cow shade spruce by the looks of the limb piles.  ffcheesy

Not enough hours in the day. Lost swing gear seal right before I had to clean a job off, it happened but wasn't pretty. Messenger_creation_7DF49304-A5B4-479B-99B6-B3B538E6CB38.jpeg

I get almost done with one project and into the fire I go again. I've got a couple ponds to do, nothing wrong with a 10k series 6. Bought it right.
