Maybe the news ones have a chip in them to cause problems when using an adapter.

I have fallen and I can't get up......HELP !!! 

Here I am moving toward the Milwaukee platform and then Home Depot puts their 1/2" impact driver on "Father's Day" sale:  LINK.  Tool, battery, & charger with tax and my military discount; $191.64.  That is a $319 value.  Just the tool is $249.  Anyway, a man has to do what a man has to do.  This one will live at the farm.  ffsmiley  I also now have battery adapters to run the Craftsman C3 tools with the Craftsman, Milwaukee, or the Ridgid batteries.

My final battery adapter came today which will allow me to use a Ridgid battery with my Craftsman C3 tools.  


I had already gotten the adapter to allow using a Milwaukee battery with the Craftsman tools (Reply #68) so now I am 100% flexible with my tools and batteries.  This solves the dilemma that I was questioning with my original posting.  It also saves an entire fleet of Craftsman C3 tools from having to go to the woodshed.
