Hi,

I'm fairly new around here although I've been reading the forum for years. After countless hours of research I'm finding myself at dead-end.

I have an Alaskan mill MKIV that I'd like to use with my G660 made by Farmertec to slab a bunch of fairly large pines, oaks and maples.

Now I've been looking for a 36" Duromatic E (PN 3003 000 8453) but I think they are discontinued. I have access to two Stihl dealers / repair shops and after contacting them both it's very clear they can't help me out.

I'd like to know which 36"-ish guide bars other MS660/G660 owners use. I'd like to use a .404" 0.63" chain but I'm opened to suggestions.

I'm sure that you will get replies from others with more experience than me, but I am running a 394xp for milling so, comparable powerhead.  I have an Oregon bar, .058-3/8 that works OK for me.  I have heard that the Cannon superbars are stiffer and may wander and wane less.  I also have a Woodland 42 inch that I got from Bailey's for freehanding burls and such.
440B skidder, JD350 dozer, Husqvarnas from 335 to 394. All spruced up

Oregon doesn't make a solid 36" in my mount from what I can see on their website. I've also looked at woodland. Same story there but your Cannon SuperBar suggestion may yield something. I've contacted the dealer and I'm waiting for the reply.
