I'm sure most of you watched the landing of that spacecraft last week.  Did any of you notice that the machine they used to pluck the capsule out of the water was nothing more than a fancy version of the DanG-Deadheader log loading device. Maybe Elon Musk is getting his bright ideas right here on the Forum.

Yes, Elon got the job done. That was quite a spell up there.

Welcome back DanG. Let us know what's been going on in the woods business down there. A good story or two wouldn't hurt none of us either.  ffcool

I was thinking about how hard I'd probably barf upon hitting the ocean if I was one of the people stuck up there. Just out of sheer emotion.

Heck, I was listening to a replay, where they had the coms folks talking inside the capsule, and they said something to the effect of "On behalf of America and the planet Earth, Welcome Home" and I almost cried. It's crazy that for just a second or two it stirred up the same emotion of watching my children be born. That feeling of your face about to pop from the joy of it!

I'd probably barf the whole way there and back and probably pass out hitting the ocean lol.

I was in the lobby of a bank to wait for the machine. A bunch of seniors in there a half hr early to see the tellers. You can sure tell they have been propagandized by the CBC. They called Musks rescue, BS  and take Trumps comments literally as he's trying to make deals. It's pathetic. But there are some things Trump 'got his mind right' [as Jimmy Dore would say] over not starting new war campaigns. He's bombing the poorest country in the world, which has been bombed since the 70's and never defeated and we know whose calling the shots over there. Nothing good has ever come from that.
