Tom, that's great that you were able to take your concerns right to management, and even more so that 3 of them took the time to have a meeting with you. I think it shows they are genuinely concerned and interested in their end user. Good work!

Well done Tom. I'm going to assume that your hat was a little tighter all day. With you getting to talk to the higher ups. ffcheesy
I'm glad that you got to put in some time with them. I hope they are able to take some of the information and use it to make things better, for them and the customers.

Well, I did my best. It is rare to get that opportunity and their genuine interest was gratifying so I hope they follow-up up on these simple things and reap a benefit in some ways.

This morning I just sent off a follow-up email thanking them again for their time and also providing some more information on the forum as a place where they could hear from users in the field about how their tools and equipment is being used and working. I also encouraged them to consider sponsorship because there are few better places to find your target customers than here.

All I can do is ask. We'll see if anything comes of it.

The difference in chain is quite simple , Most stihl 3/8 chain is all .063 wide up in the link, if the chain is .050 its only the driver that fits into the bar that is .050, above the driver is still .063 wide , .063 driver does oil the bar better than .050 thou .  In oregon stuff the part of the tang that up in the chain is .058 compared to stihl .063 so the oregon chain is .005 thinner in width or kerf. Pretty much all chain for husky up here is .058 gauge but found a husky dealer that will bring in .050 chain and bars if you order it . For a long time we could not get .050 chain for husky .
