Been having one of those weeks with crazy loads every day so far. I had one on each of the first three work days this week. Wondering what's going to show up today. The other side of me is scared to ask.

Monday, the customer decided that he didn't need all 4 tires on his trailer. He was even bragging that he had hauled his min excavator the day before.

On Tuesday we had to put 1x12x33 cypress on a 24 ft. trailer, with some 4x4 and 2x4s.

Yesterday we put some WRC timbers up to 33 ft long on another short trailer. I'm not sure of the length. There was timber hanging off the front and the back of the trailer.

Two LT70s, Nyle L200 kiln, 4 head Pinheiro planer, 30" double surface Cantek planer, Lucas dedicated slabber, Slabmizer, and enough rolling stock and chainsaws to keep it all running.

Reminds me of the time that a customer pulled in and they had lost the one complete wheel, hub and brake drum off of the back of their trailer, and they didn't even know it.

Had another customer (a commercial truck driver no less!) that had me load 14,000 lbs of freshly milled white oak lumber onto a trailer that had a pair of 5000 lb axles. He was towing it behind a 1/2 ton pickup w/o trailer brakes, and had to drive 70 miles....

I've seen first hand out on the highway what can happen to guys with a loaded trailer that just kept driving. Blown tire (or tires), rim dragging, or worse yet locked up brakes... :uhoh:

This is the proper way to haul large wood. ffsmiley

The second two are doing the best they can with the equipment they have. They weren't over loaded. Just under trailered. (new word)
