Been having one of those weeks with crazy loads every day so far. I had one on each of the first three work days this week. Wondering what's going to show up today. The other side of me is scared to ask.

Monday, the customer decided that he didn't need all 4 tires on his trailer. He was even bragging that he had hauled his min excavator the day before.

On Tuesday we had to put 1x12x33 cypress on a 24 ft. trailer, with some 4x4 and 2x4s.

Yesterday we put some WRC timbers up to 33 ft long on another short trailer. I'm not sure of the length. There was timber hanging off the front and the back of the trailer.

Two LT70s, Nyle L200 kiln, 4 head Pinheiro planer, 30" double surface Cantek planer, Lucas dedicated slabber, Slabmizer, and enough rolling stock and chainsaws to keep it all running.

You might have to call the DOT on your own customers 😂

Reminds me of the time that a customer pulled in and they had lost the one complete wheel, hub and brake drum off of the back of their trailer, and they didn't even know it.

Had another customer (a commercial truck driver no less!) that had me load 14,000 lbs of freshly milled white oak lumber onto a trailer that had a pair of 5000 lb axles. He was towing it behind a 1/2 ton pickup w/o trailer brakes, and had to drive 70 miles....

I've seen first hand out on the highway what can happen to guys with a loaded trailer that just kept driving. Blown tire (or tires), rim dragging, or worse yet locked up brakes... :uhoh:

The second two are doing the best they can with the equipment they have. They weren't over loaded. Just under trailered. (new word)

The second picture shows some great ingenuity.  I bet he was an engineer and did stress analysis before coming up with the solution. ffcool ffcool ffcool

Larry that customer is a local home builder and uses a good bit of my lumber and timbers in his builds. We are the same age, and he grew up about 14 miles from where I did, in CO. We knew of each others families but didn't meet until he started buying lumber from me out here. We now live about 30 miles apart and 1800 miles from where we grew up. Life can give you some funny stories some times.

I've been known to stretch a rule here and there which my Wife would never do. Loading a landscape trailer with only three tires on it for multiple days is not one of them...  :uhoh:

Yeah - I tell mine it feels good to stretch a rule now and then as long as no one is being harmed...she has yet to buy in  ffsmiley

A guy I know that lives here but grew up in a different part of NS went to Florida a few years ago to watch some spring baseball, after the game he went out for a beer and sat down at a bar striking up a conversation with the guy in the next seat. Where are you from? Canada...me too. Where in Canada? Nova Scotia....me too. Where in Nova Scotia? Trenton, you?.... Yarmouth but I grew up in Trenton. Where do you live in Trenton? 123 Jones Street. Let me guess...you moved there about 4 months ago. Ya, how do you know? That's were I grew up, you bought the house from my parents.
