Just got it home. 4-53 with 2 speed Allison. Needs winch gone through and steering cylinder repacked. Hard to find information on these machines. Also, i haven't messed around with the automatic (H,L,R)much yet, but the high position seems to not be working. Wants to move but just won't get going

Hercules winch. Its a little rough looking but runs and works. Would like to get more information on it

Many moons ago,  I posted about the JD link for Timberjack manuals.  You'll have to do a bit of searching, but it was on this site...somewhere!  I know the link was still active at least 5yrs ago.  I got the manual in CD format, but they had it 3 different ways, and it was reasonable.

We have a Hercules on our 230 at the farm.  When it needed love, Harolds up in Maine had the parts I needed on the shelf, AND, I think they even put a diagram in the dang box when they shipped them! We pulled it off the machine to work on it and that made life much better!
