No pictures because they are in the tall grass but I looked out the window while ago and spotted the head and neck of my hen turkey in the tall grass by the woodshed. She was clucking and putting at me 2 days ago when I was stacking some limbs and tops for rabbit habitat. I kept watching the hen and kept seeing movement periodically around her. I went and got my little binoculars out of my deer hunting fanny pack and keyed in on her. Every so often a fist sized poult would jump up over a weed or limb or such. At one point the old hen had her wings spread like she was offering shade or shelter for them to run hide under. I have no idea how many poults she has.

Up the hill 40-50 yards away an old doe can be  feeding on the weeds and such too. Mama bluebird is sitting on a clutch of 5 eggs in the next box on the gate post.

We are over run with wildlife around here right now and every day I see deer, fawns, rabbits, turkeys, bluebirds, robins, wrens, crows, etc. Every once in a while we will see a big old blue heron in the creek down by the bride.

That's pretty cool. We've got a lot of stuff running around too. Exciting!

None this far from the river or large lakes but I did find a box shell turtle while spraying weeds this afternoon. I have been seeing a few snapping turtles dead or crossing the roads the last few weeks.
