found a 372 xp  in a pawn shop for $449.00 looks good it had 24 inch bar and chain I have a 272xp that is nearly used up do you think this would be a good replacement saw I am 76 years old we don't cut a lot but we do have some big white and red pine that need to be sawn

Would be hard to say how much a used saw is worth. They have been making the 372 xp for a long time. I have one that is 25 years old so I know they have been making them at least that long. They are a good saw but you never know how much the previous owner used it or maybe more importantly if they used the proper fuel mixture. I gave $600 for mine when I bought it new although I know they are quite a bit higher now. Like buying anything used sometimes it works out good but sometimes it doesn't.

Bob you only tune it to 13k? No wonder people say you don't rev all the way up😁
