I was informed by a customer that Google has my listing listed as "Permanently Closed". Needless to say I was shocked. I had not long gone through a lengthy process of changing my business hours and thought I had it all taken care of. I don't know if that triggered something in their algorithm or what. I now have to wait for them to send me a post card, with a code on it, to be able to change it back. I had my hired help look it up on their phones and all of them have the ability to suggest changes on my page. So maybe some evil person is doing it. Those of you running a business need to put it on your list of things to keep an eye on.

I am not impressed with much of the Google data.

Last fall I learned that Google maps was leading people past my driveway, trying to take them to the middle of my field.
I entered corrections 5-6 times before giving up. Now I make sure to tell people to watch the mailbox numbers when they turn onto my road.

I just checked Google says you are opening soon at 7:30am

Check your posted hours, they may have had you open when you weren't and then a frustrated customer may have changed your status. Or worse we know you are just a cuddly teddy bear but a competitor may have done it maliciously. Glad it's fixed though.

I know a business that Google had listed as the wrong address despite the owner notifying them multiple times.

DanG! I spent hours trying to set your location as Hawaii to make the driving instructions difficult, and your business hours as opening at 1 am and closing at dawn! ffcheesy ffcheesy ffcheesy

On a lighter note, these sites will "stale" out so it's always a good idea to go in as the Business Owner and do a quick modify hours or change you description occasionally to let the Google database know you are current and active.

Glad it's working though.

Take steps to save steps.

If it won't roll, its not a log; it's still a tree.  Sawmills cut logs, not trees.

I wouldn't let any employee or anyone for that matter have access to things like that.

My advice on aging gracefully... ride fast bikes and date faster women, drink good tequila, practice your draw daily, be honest and fair in your dealings, but suffer not fools. Eat a hearty breakfast, and remember, ALL politicians are crooks.

I searched Sawmill's near Rentz GA In Google maps earlier this morning, you came up, said you were open,  and closed at 4:30. You have a 4.9 out of five star rating, 19 raters, with one guy giving you three stars. Also, one guy says that you've been hosting a Woodstock like event almost every spring and wonders when the next one will be. ffcheesy ffcheesy

Well, for the first time it's happened to me, from Sixacresand's post I read googled as "gargled".

My Gargling has also shown you are open now.

You can also go to google and ask their bot to index your website.  This clears out old info in their database like dead links and what have you.
