Unless ya oven dry it and vaccum seal it, it takes on water and turns to rock!

I actually carry some tractor chains. They don't fit my tires, but I can drive over them to get unstuck.
In a pinch you use tree branches. ;)

The only way I found to beat winter here is to buy a sander and put it in my truck ...   put a plow on the front .. and chains fur the tires  ;D

Yes we were, and I think it was 4 or 5 hours now that I think of it and it was all downhill making the walk out up hill. And I think there was 3 river fordings and an indian attack.

Somebody's exaggerating. ::)  It wasn't much of an attack, we was able ta outrun um. It was later dat we got stuck.

I really wanted ta get some new tires. Jeff and tammy are stoppin' by next week. And dat ole boy gits a little nervous when we head out into da wilderness on bald tires. He tends to worry too much.  ;D

Last year he had ta ride on da back bumper for traction.  :D

Yep, no time to be worrying. We were stuck on ice in a dip 3 hours drive on back roads into the ottawa not seeing a single other soul or track and probably 2 days walk backout

Good thing you never got volunteered by 'Casey' to go on one of his expeditions in his old Dodge. If you said his truck couldn't make it down a road or path, that was where you was a headed. ;D :D My grandfather, his brother and my uncle each had a turn with the old fart and they had to dig him out of more scrapes and walk several miles to get help then any man deserves in their lifetime. ;D The thing was, that old fart could barely walk himself and was of no use if you needed help gettin that dang dabit truck out of some muck hole. When my grandfather would tell of all the troubles they used to get into with old 'Casey' I'de DanG near die laughing. :D :D :D

I'm wonderin if Chet has some Casey blood in him. ;D :D :D

I better look harder fur dem tires.  Not to mention gitten lots of hotdogs and munchies.  Just in case SOMEBODY gits dat hungery look.  :o

Grandfather used to have a 4 foot wide chest full of grub whenever he went to the bush and his Colemen and lots sleeping robes. Usually it was all throwed in there (back of pickup) in one big heap and usually 2 or 3 bags of Candy and a couple cases of coke in the cab. :D :D

When ever he left for the bush you'de think he was gonna be gone 2 weeks, but 3 days was about the limit. Had to get back home to grandma ya know. ;)
