At work it is trade magazines (auto repair), staying up with technology is a never ending battle.

A six to ten inch stack of the latest wood working mags.  I have to rotate inventory every 3-4 weeks to keep from getting bored. :P

Something soooo soothing about reading that comparison article on chisel mortisers over and over again.

Just talking about it all gives me "the urge" :D :D :D :D ;D

In addition to a lot of the stuff mentioned earlier, I keep some humor stuff in there. laugh out loud things like Patrick F. McManus, Lewis Grizzrd, and Jerry Harju. Nothing earns you some quiet time alone like having someone come to the crapper door and hearing you laughing your butt off in there ;D ;D ;D.

I had the entire thing wrong, I was fixing to call my accountant and find out if my last IRS thingy was done in the bathroom, since they said it smelled so bad.

Sounds like we all got a lot of similar readin' material in the potty.   :P

Me, I got a stack of misc. catalogs and magazines about 6" thick that varies according to how many times I've read that particular item and what came in the days mail.  The current stack has several Fine Homebuilding, a couple Journal of Light Construction, some trade rags (POB, Professional Surveyor and CE News) a copy of Equipment Today, a couple Readers Digest, thre or four local newspapers, a book on building stairs, catalogs from Sears, Gemplers, Tek Supply, and a bunch other miscellaneous woodworking mags and catalogs.  I'm preparing to evict the entire pile in a day or two and shuffle in some older magazines and a book on plumbing.   ;D

We always have the latest newspapers and any magazines I can sneak in without being noticed.  Our bathroom is small so I rotate the magazines regularly, besides I get so many that if I do not keep up I find that I am reading articles from the last decade. ::)

Actually, there is, not just a seat but a whole toilet. We spec them in hospitals and assisted living residences. basically the seat is oval and approx 3 inches longer than standard. the toilet itself is 4 inches taller.

The seat redistributes your weight more on your thighs and around the tail bone. American standard makes them.

I can honestly say that the bathroom is the only room in the house without books or magazines in it. ;)

I think the coolest one I have ever seen was in a bar in Wolf Creek Montana. Just a spit off I-15 south of Helena. The walls were papered with late 1880 early 1890 newspapers. It had not been re done for tourists. This was original, yellowed but readable. Really entertaining 8)
