PTO drive planer & gangsaw
« on: December 11, 2005, 10:55:59 PM »
I could use a gang saw and a planer, and I really prefer an old one that I can drive with a tractor PTO, even if it needs work done on it (I'm just starting and trying to go as cheap as possible)
a 12" would be fine for both of these.

I'm in Florida, so I prefer one thats within driving distance, or if one of you northern fellas want to visit sunny florida for a couple of days.... :D
I'm a lumberjack and I'm ok, I work all night and sleep all day

I have a Woods 406 4-sided planer that you may be interested in. It has 6 knives on round heads. 6x15 throat, top head jointer, outfeed rolls, and the line shafting for you to run it off your PTO. If the distance doesn't scare you, I would part with it for $2000 Canadian... roughly $1600 US. I am in Pembroke, Ontario. a mere 3 day drive with a heavy foot. If you are interested, I'll take some pictures of it for you. I would tend to think however, that wouldn't be until after christmas now. The wife and I are having a baby on Tuesday when they pry it out of her. :)

Sounds like an awesome tool!

I'll keep it in Mind, but I was really hoping to find something a little closer to the deep south ;)
