The January 2003 issue of TimberLine Magazine, pages 4 & 5, has a nice article featuring Joey Lowe and Wood-Mizer.

Wood-Mizer also on the cover.

Nice article. No wonder Joey has been so scarce on here, lately. Remember when he was sweating finding his first customer? :D

Joey, I don't know how true this statement is, in fact I am pretty sure its a real stretch but this is what we are going with. :D

There is no doubt in my mind that I would not have made it had it not been for the plain facts and excellent advice that I received right here on the Forestry Forum!

  I told him to go fishing before the mill got there.  But NO he was worried about getting a customer.  Now look where it has gotten him ;D   WAY TO GO JOEY!

Thanks to all for the good words.  The phones have been ringing off the hook since that article was released.  People are calling and saying things like, "I didn't even know you were here."  "Can I buy this or do you have that in stock?", " Can you come over this weekend and mill my 150 pines trees into flooring?" No kidding on that last one.  This is a great life.  :D

Good going, Joey. Glad you are making it work.
All truth passes through three stages:
   First, it is ridiculed;
   Second, it is violently opposed; and
   Third, it is accepted as self-evident.

I remember when Joey first came onto the Forum and asked if he could make a living with the sawmill. That sure was a nice writeup about you Joey. Be sure to frame that article and hang it out in your sawmill shed. 8) 8)
