need help locating this part

Not sure what  your need is.   Is it for a specific model or type.   I've seen those hand winches for sale new under $20.

the worm gear and its [ shaped bracket is what i am looking for
not the main body and drum just the wrom gear and the small bracket

if u know where to find that type of hand winch , with a removeable worm gear for 20 bucks that would be fine too

Harbor Freight sells that winch for very little.  It's the most agravating thing  I've ever used.  My son had on on a little trailer.

I picked up one on ebay, they are aggrivating....

but as to matching up the sizes, who knows....  worm gears are available through MSC and McMaster-Carr

 Exactly the same winch we used for up-down on Homey. I'd LOVE to find one for $20.00.  :o

I wonder if a short piece of acme threaded rod would sub for the worm gear.

MSC and ENCO have it in 3 and 6 foot lengths.
Slabs  : Offloader, slab and sawdust Mexican, mill mechanic and electrician, general flunky.  Woodshop, metal woorking shop and electronics shop.

Boston Gear used to sell that type of gear but I don't know about the bracket .

Ditto.....I think the one I have in the garage came from harbor freight about 2 years ago for $19.95
